I don’t usually use my blog to support any causes of any kind but when I heard the news that one of Celtic’s favourite sons, Paul McStay, has opened a Kickstarter campaign to fund the publishing of his autobiography, The Maestro, I had to do my part to spread the word.

One of football’s last great one-club men, McStay is an icon to Celtic supporters, loyally serving the club for 16 years and making over 500 appearances between 1981 and 1997.  Advances from some of Europe’s finest clubs couldn’t lure Paul away from the east end of Glasgow and, as such, he was able to provide innumerable unforgettable moments for his many fans while wearing the famous green and white hoops.

Listen to Paul speak below about how you can help fund him to tell his remarkable story, or simply click here to read more about the project and donate, if you can.
